1. Who we are

Digital Grove Ltd ("Find Trusted Roofers", "we", "us", "our") operates the website at https://findtrustedroofers.co.uk. Find Trusted Roofers is a trading name of Digital Grove Ltd. We act as the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Contact us via our online contact form with any question about your data.

2. What data we collect

When you submit a quote request or contact form, we collect:

  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Email address (where provided)
  • Postcode
  • Details of the roofing job (service, roof type, urgency and any notes)

If you apply to join our network as a roofer, we also collect your business name, contact details, service area, and credential information — your Companies House number, your insurance, and any TrustMark, NFRC or CompetentRoofer membership.

We also collect anonymised analytics data — page views, session duration, referring source — through Google Analytics 4, which uses cookies. Since we never build a profile of you personally, analytics data never includes anything that could identify you.

3. How we use your data

We use the data you submit to:

  • Match your request with a local roofer in our network who covers your postcode
  • Pass your enquiry to that roofer so they can quote for the work
  • Respond to any questions or complaints about the introduction
  • Assess roofer applications to join our network

We do not use your data for marketing without your explicit consent, and we never cold-call. Although we may email you about your own enquiry, we won't add you to any wider mailing list without asking first.

4. Sharing your data

We share your contact details and job description with the roofer or roofers matched to your enquiry, so they can quote for your work. Those roofers act as separate data controllers for the work they carry out. Since the contract for that work sits between you and them, not us, they alone answer for how they handle it. We do not sell your data to third parties.

5. How long we keep your data

We keep enquiry records, including your contact details, for 6 years. Since that meets our obligations under the Limitation Act 1980, it matches the standard limitation period for contractual claims. After 6 years, we delete them.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request erasure of your data (subject to our legal retention obligations)
  • Object to processing
  • Data portability

To exercise these rights, contact us via our online contact form. We respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies that the website needs to function, and analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4, anonymised) that help us improve it. See our Cookie Policy for full details.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when we last revised it, so check back if you want the latest version. If you keep using the website after a revision, we treat that as accepting the updated policy.

9. Complaints

If you think we've handled your data incorrectly, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We'd also welcome the chance to put things right directly, so feel free to raise it with us first.
